I. Command
A. The chain of command is followed as a corporation;
1. Command of the Ship is held by the Captain,
2. who is employed at the pleasure of the Owner,
3. who will follow all reasonable decrees until such time as the Captain is relieved of duty.
II. Law
A. All applicable laws of the spaceways apply.
B. In time of armed conflict, disobedience will result in any consequences deemed necessary for the good of the entire Crew.
C. Physical violence, theft, and the concealment of information needed for the good order of the ship will result in the offending party’s dismissal from the Crew.
D. Legal fees or aid will not be rendered for Crewmembers from the Ship’s Income unless confined or oppressed in the Ship’s service.
III. Compensation
A. Pay is granted as work is compensated, to be known as Ship’s Income. The 1st share is the Ship’s for all maintenance and sundry needs, the rest to be divided amongst the Crew;
1. To the Captain, 2 shares,
2. the Owner, 2 shares,
3. to the other Crew, one share each.
B. Standard rations and shared quarters are provided by the Ship for the Crew.
C. Private quarters for the Crew may be hired at the same rate as a Passenger, with the payment distributed as Ship’s Income (meaning the hiring Crewmember receives a discount in return).
D. The Captain and Owner retain private quarters.
E. Unattributed money and goods acquired in the course of the Ship’s Service is Ship’s Income, and shared accordingly.
IV. Vice
A. Gambling is permitted amongst the Crew so long as
1. 4 credits or fewer per individual per day are wagered and
2. participants have at least one month’s food and lodging, and
3. in a one-month period, no individual wagers more than the last share of Ship’s Income.
B. Drinking alcohol is permitted except
1. within 4 hours of coming on Watch or
2. within 4 hours of a known period of Service
a. unless dispensation is granted by the Captain.
C. The use of other mind-altering drugs or narcotics is permitted only by express approval of all three of:
1. the Captain,
2. the Owner and
3. the ranking skilled Doctor.
